Nigeria Urges Calm Amid Houthi-Saudi Tensions

The Federal Government of Nigeria has urged for urgent de-escalation between Yemen’s Houthi movement and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to renewed tensions and reported attacks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the situation, warning that further hostilities could exacerbate insecurity in the Middle East and threaten civilian lives.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Nigeria called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, avoid retaliatory actions, and engage in dialogue to resolve their differences.
