China Grants RMB 200 Million to Nigeria for Development

China has committed a grant of RMB 200 million to Nigeria aimed at supporting the implementation of agreed development projects. This announcement was made by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, during a meeting with Dr. Dunoma Umar Ahmed, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Abuja.

The grant is part of China's ongoing support for Nigeria's national development and economic growth, reflecting the strong diplomatic ties established 55 years ago. Ambassador Yu emphasized the new phase of development in the China-Nigeria relationship under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He noted the importance of translating bilateral cooperation into tangible benefits for citizens. Dr. Ahmed expressed gratitude for China's support and assured that Nigeria would effectively utilize the grant while continuing to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in beneficial areas.
