Nigeria Customs Aims to Raise N6 Trillion in 6 Months for 2025 Revenue Target

Nigeria Customs Service is tasked with raising N6 trillion in six months to achieve its 2025 revenue goal of N10 trillion. The agency collected N3.6 trillion in the first half of the year, higher than the previous year's N2.7 trillion.

To meet the target, the service is rolling out a unified customs management system and modernizing operations with new scanners and cyber security measures. Abdulahi Maiwada, the agency's Public Relations Officer, disclosed these efforts to streamline trade facilitation and boost revenue collection.
