Nigeria Targets 300,000 BPD Oil Production by 2025

Nigeria is targeting an increase in oil production to 300,000 barrels per day and aims to secure 500 million barrels in new reserves by 2025. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) reported that 143 companies submitted 200 bids for 37 out of 50 blocks during the commercial bid phase.

Achieving these targets necessitates the protection of oil assets and the maintenance of peace in the Niger Delta, which is facilitated by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL). President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed TSSNL, led by High Chief Dr.

Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, to ensure the security of oil pipelines and support the national economy. Analysts emphasize that sustainable protection of oil assets is crucial for boosting production and attracting investment in the oil and gas sector.

The current exercise is expected to enhance Nigeria's economic stability and increase foreign capital inflows.
