Nigeria has lost pillar of stability – Tinubu mourns Emir of Zuru

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Emir of Zuru in Kebbi State, Major General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo II. The retired military officer and former military governor of Bauchi State passed away in a London hospital after a brief illness.

Tinubu described the Emir's passing as a significant loss for Nigeria, highlighting his service as a soldier during the Nigerian Civil War and his contributions as an administrator and revered traditional leader. Tinubu commended the Emir for his decade-long leadership, which brought peace, stability, and development to the Zuru Emirate in Kebbi State.

He offered his condolences to the family, the Zuru Emirate Council, and the people of Kebbi State, praying for the repose of the late Emir's soul and asking for comfort from Almighty Allah during this time of grief.
