Tinubu, Northern monarchs pay last respect as Zuru Emir is buried

The late Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammad Sani Sami (rtd), was laid to rest in Kebbi State, with prominent figures such as Vice President Kashim Shettima, Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III, and Emir of Kano Alhaji Sunusi Lamido Sanusi paying their last respects. The funeral procession brought commercial activities in Zuru town to a standstill as the late Emir was buried at his personal residence.

Vice President Shettima expressed deep sorrow at the loss, describing the late Emir as a man who dedicated his life to serving the nation and promoting peace and unity. The funeral was attended by various dignitaries, including traditional rulers and government officials, who all mourned the passing of the revered leader.

The late Emir is survived by four wives and seven children.
