Nigeria Hosts Maiden African Chovken Championship in Abuja, Showcasing Equestrian Excellence

Nigeria hosted the first-ever African Chovken Championship in Abuja at the Seren Guard Polo Club, with Nura Sani Kangiwa as the Chairman of the African region of the International Chovken Federation (ICF). The event aimed to attract teams from countries like Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, and Ghana to compete and promote equestrian sports in Nigeria and Africa.

Alhaji Shehu Dikko of the NSK Polo Ranch highlighted the significance of the championship in bringing together top riders from across the continent. The event aligns with the government's goal to expand the country's sports portfolio beyond mainstream athletics.
