Nigeria Mourns Medical Graduate Killed in Ukraine Attack

Nnani Adaobi Marian, a 23-year-old Nigerian medical graduate from Kharkiv National Medical University, succumbed to injuries sustained during a Russian aerial attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The Nigerian Federal Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed profound sadness over her death and extended heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.

The ministry's spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, stated that the government is in contact with relevant authorities and Nigeria's mission in Ukraine and Germany to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and provide necessary consular assistance to the family. The Nigerian government reiterated its deep concern over the ongoing conflict and the continuous loss of civilian lives, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and urging all parties to embrace dialogue and diplomatic resolutions in accordance with international law principles and the United Nations Charter.
