Nigeria Must Embrace AI As Catalyst For Educational Reform, Youth Empowerment – LASUED COVED

The 1st Annual National Conference on College of Vocational Entrepreneurship Education (COVED) at Lagos State University Education (LASUED) emphasized the need for Nigeria to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a catalyst for educational reform and youth empowerment. Keynote speaker Josiah Oluwasegun Ajiboye highlighted the importance of innovation in education and the integration of AI in vocational entrepreneurship.

The conference addressed challenges such as infrastructural limitations, digital literacy gaps, and ethical concerns related to AI integration. Participants stressed the importance of developing a National AI Policy Framework for Education, investing in digital infrastructure, enhancing teacher confidence in using technology, and redesigning curricula to include AI-related skills.

The conference urged the Federal Government to take comprehensive steps towards integrating AI in education to address educational challenges and empower the youth for the digital economy.
