Kanu Advocates for Genuine Leadership Ahead of 2027 Elections

Uch Kanu, the former prelate emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria, has stated that Nigeria requires leaders who truly love the country, irrespective of their age, as the nation approaches the 2027 general elections. During a leadership debate, Kanu responded to a question posed to Adewale Adebayo, a rising political figure, emphasizing that the qualities of good governance and patriotism should take precedence over age.

He refrained from endorsing any specific candidates, asserting that both younger and older aspirants bring unique strengths and experiences to leadership. Kanu warned that neither age nor experience alone guarantees effective governance, stressing the need for leaders driven by selfless service to foster Nigeria's prosperity and peace.
