Nigeria Becomes West Africa's Largest Petroleum Exporter

Reno Omokri, a former media aide to a past president, stated in a social media post that Nigeria has become West Africa's largest exporter of petroleum products, a significant shift from its previous status as the largest importer. He made this claim following Bola Ahmed Tinubu's assumption of the presidency.

Omokri criticized the previous government's subsidy regime, which he argued encouraged fuel smuggling to neighboring countries. He shared a photo depicting long queues at petrol stations, highlighting the reality of fuel scarcity in Nigeria.

Omokri challenged Nigerians to provide evidence of similar experiences during Tinubu's administration over the past three years. He noted that while petrol prices have increased due to global factors, the previous situation of Nigerians queuing for fuel has not ended.
