Nigeria Picture Book Project Revolutionizes Children's Literature

The Nigeria Picture Book Project, a collaboration between Book Buzz Foundation and the European Union, was unveiled in Lagos to create culturally relevant children's books. The initiative seeks to empower young Nigerian writers and illustrators, with a goal of producing 100 high-quality books by 2027.

The project involves training young talents across Nigeria and promoting positive values through storytelling. Lola Shoneyin, founder of Book Buzz Foundation, reaffirmed the commitment to producing quality picture books.

The project aims to build on the success of past literary initiatives like the Aké Arts and Book Festival in Kaduna.
