Nigeria Extradites Matthew Adebiyi to UK for Murder Charges

The Nigeria Police Force extradited Matthew Adebiyi to the United Kingdom due to his alleged involvement in the murder of Joshua Boadu on June 18, 2018, and for supplying crack cocaine between October 2017 and March 2018. Adebiyi fled Nigeria following these allegations and was arrested on January 23, 2025.

The extradition process was initiated by the UK authorities through a request to the Nigeria Police, which was facilitated by Interpol's National Central Bureau in Abuja. On February 16, 2026, Justice O.
