Nigeria's Oil Output Peaks at 1.74mbpd in June 2026

Between March and August 2026, Nigeria produced about 306.4 million barrels of crude oil and condensate, as reported by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The data indicates a recovery in Nigeria's oil sector, with production increasing for four consecutive months, peaking at 1.74 million barrels per day in June.

The monthly production figures showed an average of 1.546 million barrels per day in March, rising to 1.663 million in April, 1.70 million in May, and reaching 1.735 million in June, marking the highest level since April 2020. However, production declined to 1.67 million barrels per day in July, before slightly increasing to 1.678 million barrels per day in August.

The monthly breakdown of production included approximately 47.93 million barrels in March, 49.89 million in April, 52.70 million in May, 52.06 million in June, 51.77 million in July, and 52.02 million in August.
