Nigeria Champions Women's Empowerment at OIC Conference

Nigeria, represented by Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, reaffirmed its commitment to global partnerships for women's empowerment and inclusive development at the 9th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women in Egypt. The conference focused on enhancing cooperation among OIC member states to identify practical areas for collaboration that advance the welfare of women, families, and vulnerable groups.

Key discussions included strengthening women's roles in family cohesion, expanding socio-economic opportunities, and reinforcing legal protections for vulnerable individuals. Sulaiman Ibrahim emphasized the need for sustained collaboration among OIC countries to accelerate inclusive growth and translate shared commitments into tangible gains for women and families across member states.
