Nigeria Signs Aviation Development Deal with AfDB

Nigeria has signed a letter of intent with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to enhance aviation development across Africa. The agreement was signed by Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during a dialogue session with the AfDB president in Brazzaville, Congo, on Thursday.

The session highlighted the opportunities presented by the bank's $7 billion aviation program in Africa. Minister Keyamo unveiled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" agenda for the aviation sector, which aims to leverage the potential of the sector, particularly with the recent approval of Nigeria's aircraft leasing company.

The AfDB president expressed support for the program and pledged commitment to its implementation in Nigeria and across Africa. Keyamo also announced Nigeria's country compact for the aviation sector during the event.
