Keyamo Signs LOI for Nigeria at AfDB Conference in Congo

On Thursday, Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of Nigeria, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the African Development Bank (AfDB) conference held in Brazzaville, Congo. This LOI is part of Nigeria's commitment to operationalize the Aviation Transformation Program (IATP), which is projected to mobilize $7 billion for the aviation sector in Africa, particularly benefiting Nigeria.

Keyamo emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda for the aviation sector serves as a template for other African nations to emulate. He also mentioned that Nigeria has laid the groundwork for initiatives that include domestic aviation insurance policies that meet global industry standards.

AfDB President Sidi Ould Tah expressed his delight at the commitment to the success of the IATP in Africa, especially in Nigeria, during the session where Keyamo unveiled the country compact for Nigeria's aviation sector.
