Nigeria Customs Chief Leads Efforts to Clear Trade Obstacles in Africa

The Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, announced plans to collaborate with African heads of customs to address trade obstacles within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Adeniyi highlighted Nigeria's efforts to work with organizations like Afreximbank and the World Customs Organization to convene a roundtable in Abuja.

The initiative aims to enhance trade facilitation and showcase Nigeria's economic competitiveness. Notable personalities like Prime Ministers of Grenada and Saint Kitts and Nevis, Nigeria's Minister of Finance, and Dangote Industries Limited representatives commended the impact of investments across Africa.

Dangote Group's participation in the 2025 IATF in Algiers was also highlighted.
