Lewandowski Confirms Participation Against Nigeria's Eagles

Robert Lewandowski, the forward for Barcelona, has confirmed his availability to compete against Nigeria's Super Eagles in a friendly match scheduled for May 26. This announcement comes ahead of Poland's training camp, which begins just two days prior.

Despite Poland's inability to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Lewandowski has no intention of retiring from international football and will attend the training camp in May. Poland's coach, Jan Urban, is expected to reveal the squad for the upcoming friendly against Nigeria and Ukraine.

Lewandowski, who previously led Poland to a 1-0 loss against Nigeria during a pre-World Cup friendly in March 2018, has represented Poland in six major tournaments, including four European Championships and two FIFA World Cups, scoring a total of six goals. Current Super Eagles players, including Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Francis Uzoho, and Victor Moses, participated in Nigeria's victory over Poland eight years ago.
