Poland Coach Urban Questions Players' Mental Readiness

Jan Urban, the coach of the Poland National Football Team, has voiced concerns regarding the mental readiness of his players in anticipation of upcoming international friendlies against Nigeria and Ukraine. The matches are scheduled to take place at Tarczyski Arena in Wrocław on Sunday, May 31, and at PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw three days later.

Urban noted that the players are likely still in holiday mode after a disappointing failure to qualify for the World Cup. He mentioned that the team finished their season two weeks ago, making it difficult to maintain constant training.

Urban acknowledged that managing the players' conditions will be a significant challenge as they prepare for the friendlies. The squad includes notable players such as Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona, Nicola Zalewski from Atalanta, Jakub Piotrowski from Udinese, and Jakub Kiwior from Porto.
