Nigeria's Super Eagles to Face Poland in Friendly Match

Nigeria's Super Eagles will meet Poland in a friendly match on Wednesday in Warsaw, following both teams' failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Nigeria, under the guidance of coach Eric Chell, is looking to rebuild after finishing third in the Africa Cup of Nations and has won three of their last four matches, scoring at least two goals in each game.

Poland, managed by Jan Urban, is seeking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Ukraine and has not kept a clean sheet in their last five matches. The Polish team, currently ranked 35th, has concerns about their defensive stability.

Nigeria holds a psychological edge, having won their previous encounter against Poland 1-0 in 2018. The Super Eagles are currently ranked 26th in FIFA standings, nine places above Poland.

Notably, Nigeria will be without key forward Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman for the upcoming friendly against Portugal.
