Nigerian Academy of Pharmacy Inducts 14 New Fellows, Honors Renowned Pharmacist Oludolapo Akinkugbe

The Nigerian Academy of Pharmacy inducted 14 new fellows during its annual general meeting at the University of Lagos College of Medicine. The event honored renowned pharmacist Oludolapo Akinkugbe, a distinguished figure in the field known for his contributions as a manufacturer and entrepreneur.

Akinkugbe, who passed away peacefully in September 2025 at the age of 97, was recognized for his lifetime achievements and significant impact on the healthcare system. The ceremony paid tribute to his legacy of excellence, enduring influence, and commitment to the profession.

Prof. Lere Baale, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of NAPHARM, described Akinkugbe as a pharmacist leader and statesman whose life exemplified grace, discipline, and visionary service.
