Nigerian Army's Counter-terrorism Operations Boost Security in North-east

The Nigerian Army, through sustained counter-terrorism operations and enhanced synergy with security agencies, has notably enhanced security in the North-east region. Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar revealed the successful rescue of 21 kidnapped victims and the neutralization of 26 key terrorists in the past two months.

The operations have also led to the recovery of arms and ammunition, destruction of insurgent camps, and reopening of markets and schools. Despite these achievements, the Army remains focused on eliminating terrorist strongholds like Sambisa Forest and maintaining public confidence in Borno State.
