Nigerian Army Neutralizes 9 Terrorists, Rescues 37 Victims in Successful Operation

Nigerian Army troops conducted a successful operation across various states, neutralizing nine terrorists, arresting eight suspects, and rescuing 37 kidnap victims, including a pregnant woman who gave birth during the rescue in Kebbi State. The operation, which took place between October 2 and 6, 2025, led to the recovery of several weapons.

Troops from different battalions engaged in fierce firefights with insurgents in Borno, resulting in casualties among the terrorists. Additionally, the army arrested suspects involved in terrorism, kidnapping, and illegal possession of weapons in Borno, Katsina, Imo, and Plateau States.

Among those arrested were an ISWAP logistics courier and a suspected gunrunner. The operation aimed to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens in the affected regions.
