Nigerian Breweries Plc filed its unaudited and provisional results for the half year ended 30th June 2026 on 30th July 2026. The filing discloses group revenue, profitability metrics, earnings per share, and a commentary on the company's financial position.

Nigerian Breweries Plc reported group revenue of ₦803,682 million for the six months ended 30th June 2026, a 9% increase compared to ₦738,144 million recorded in the same period of 2025. Gross profit rose 14% to ₦354,861 million, with the company noting a 2 percentage point expansion in gross profit margin.

Results from operating activities grew 8% to ₦163,974 million, while profit before tax increased 18% to ₦156,326 million. The improvement in pre-tax profit was supported by a 61% reduction in net finance expense, which fell to ₦7,648 million from ₦19,653 million in H1 2025.

Income tax expense rose 45% to ₦63,372 million, which the company attributed to new tax rates, limiting profit after tax growth to 5% at ₦92,955 million. Basic earnings per share stood at 300 kobo, up from 285 kobo in H1 2025.

The company disclosed it has reduced its borrowings to zero and that retained earnings have been restored to a positive position. Selling, distribution and administrative expenses increased 20% to ₦192,991 million during the period.
