Abba Kakah Critiques Nigerian Democracy's Judicial Role

Abba Kakah, a public policy analyst, lamented the current state of Nigerian democracy, asserting that it is being manipulated by the judiciary. In an interview on Arise Television's Prime Time Program, he expressed that politicians in Nigeria are not sincere and do not adhere to the rule of law.

Kakah referenced the second republic and noted that contemporary politicians are characterized by greed and selfishness. He criticized the increasing reliance on courts to resolve political issues, suggesting that this undermines the democratic process.

Kakah emphasized that the judiciary's involvement in political matters has grown to a point where actual decisions are made by the courts rather than the electorate or the politicians themselves, who he claims are not honest or sincere in their dealings.
