NIQS Strengthens Partnership with BPP for Procurement Reform

The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is pursuing a stronger partnership with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) to establish a coherent professional framework that aligns with statutory regulations. During a visit to the BPP office in Abuja, Dr.

Adebowale Adedokun, the Director General of BPP, welcomed the NIQS team and acknowledged their efforts in enhancing government project execution. He stressed the importance of building a legacy of enduring value in public service delivery.

The collaboration is expected to focus on cost management and the establishment of a database for contractors, with a deadline for implementing new guidelines set for May 14, 2026. The BPP aims to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance the effectiveness of procurement across various sectors.
