Nigerian Military Boosts Security with Local Production of DG-103 Rifles

The Nigerian military's DICON has commenced local production of DG-103 rifles, a licensed version of the AK-103 assault rifle, at its new Kaduna production site. The CEO, Osman Chennar, announced the successful completion of the first batch of rifles meeting operational standards.

DICON plans to expand its product line to include drones, ammunition production, and naval vessel maintenance, aiming to strengthen Nigeria's defense ecosystem and potentially export defense products to African states. This move signifies a significant step towards reducing import reliance and boosting local defense manufacturing capabilities.
