Nigerian National Emeka Uzor Assassinated in South Africa, Sparking Mourning and Calls for Justice

Emeka Uzor, a Nigerian citizen, was assassinated in South Africa, prompting mourning within the Nigerian community. The Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) issued a statement confirming the incident and expressing deep concern over the growing list of violent attacks against Nigerian residents in South Africa.

Uzor was shot dead in Johannesburg while inside his vehicle at a filling station. NUSA called for a transparent and impartial investigation by South African authorities to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.

The union urged the Nigerian government to strengthen diplomatic engagements with South Africa to ensure the protection of Nigerian citizens. NUSA also appealed for calm among Nigerians in South Africa and reassured the community of their commitment to seeking justice for the victim.
