Nigerian Navy Celebrates 70 Years with Community Outreach

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Navy, through the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravo, marked its 70th anniversary by conducting an educational outreach in Aruton, Ugborodo, Delta State. Navy Captain Arinzechukwu Kenneth Egwuatuonwu officiated the event, which involved distributing school bags and books to pupils at Ikper Primary School.

The initiative aimed to deepen military-civilian relationships and invest in the future of children in the community. Captain Egwuatuonwu emphasized the importance of education as a tool for building a brighter future and encouraged the pupils to study hard and respect their teachers and parents.

The head teacher of Ikper Primary School, Mr. Ogunfeyimi Bola, expressed gratitude for the Navy's support, while community leader Mr.

Jeffrei Amoya acknowledged the Navy's consistent efforts to show love to the children. The outreach is part of the Nigerian Navy's commitment to fostering goodwill and cooperation with host communities.
