Nigerian Students Mobilized to Combat Malaria Through Competition

Geneith Pharmaceutical Limited and CEOAfrica have called on secondary and tertiary institution students across Nigeria to take the lead in the fight against malaria through a national competition set for October 30. The organizations described malaria as a persistent public health challenge in Nigeria and urged students to embrace their roles as future health advocates by participating actively in the competition.

The final week leading up to the competition is deemed critical for preparation. The initiative aims to build informed young leaders who will champion the fight against malaria, beyond merely winning prizes.

Schools nationwide are encouraged to support eligible students in registering for the competition, which has received endorsements from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The organizations emphasized that every eligible child deserves the opportunity to participate, reinforcing the importance of youth engagement in health advocacy and malaria elimination efforts in Nigeria.
