Nigeria's Petrol Consumption Reaches 1.53 Billion Litres in April

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) reported that Nigerians consumed a total of 1.53 billion litres of petrol in April 2023. The average daily consumption was approximately 51.1 million litres.

During this month, the Dangote Refinery supplied 1.22 billion litres of petrol, while independent market imports contributed 111 million litres. The report indicated that the Dangote Refinery produced an average of 53.6 million litres per day, with daily supplies to the domestic market averaging 40.7 million litres.

Additionally, the refinery exported 17.1 million litres daily. The figures reflect the ongoing dynamics in Nigeria's petrol supply and consumption landscape.
