David Mark Urges ADC to Provide Credible Political Alternative

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed members during a meeting in Abuja on Saturday, urging them to provide a credible political alternative for Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections. He expressed concern over the ongoing security situation in Nigeria, which threatens the lives and livelihoods of citizens, and highlighted the economic challenges, including rising living costs and unemployment.

Mark stated that the ADC should not seek political advantage from the hardships faced by Nigerians but should instead support efforts to restore peace, security, and economic stability. He called for unity within the party, emphasizing that its success relies on managing internal disagreements and prioritizing collective interests over personal ambitions.

Mark acknowledged complaints arising from recent party primaries and assured members that leadership would address grievances in accordance with the party's constitution. He urged ADC members to strengthen grassroots presence and remain committed to building a robust political platform for the upcoming elections.
