ADC's David Mark Calls for Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

David Mark, the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed party members during a national executive committee meeting in Abuja, urging them not to fail Nigerians seeking a credible political alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections. He expressed concerns about the worsening security situation in Nigeria, which endangers lives and livelihoods and poses significant economic challenges.

Mark highlighted the rising cost of living, unemployment, and declining purchasing power as urgent issues requiring attention. He stressed that the ADC should not exploit these challenges for political gain, unlike opposition parties.

Mark called for unity within the party, emphasizing the importance of internal cohesion and discipline to succeed in the upcoming elections. He acknowledged complaints arising from recent party primaries and assured members that leadership would address grievances in line with party constitution.

Mark encouraged strengthening the party's grassroots structure to build a robust political platform ahead of the elections.
