D’Tigress to Compete in FIBA Women’s World Cup 2026

Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, known as D’Tigress, has been drawn to compete in Group C of the FIBA Women’s World Cup, which will take place from September 4 to 13, 2026, in Berlin, Germany. In this group, D’Tigress will face teams from France, Hungary, and South Korea.

The tournament will feature a total of four groups, with Group A including Japan, Spain, Mali, and host Germany, while Group B consists of Belgium, Australia, Turkey, and Puerto Rico. Group D will include the United States, Czech Republic, Italy, and China.

The championship is expected to bring together the top women’s basketball teams from around the globe to compete for the world title in Berlin.
