JAMB Panel Chair Raises Alarm Over Education Sector Troubles

Dr. Jake Epelle, the chairman of the Special Committee on Examination Infractions at the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB), expressed concerns about the state of Nigeria's education sector.

The committee uncovered cases of malpractice, including impersonation and image morphing, during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Epelle emphasized the need for reforms in the education system to address manipulation and ensure fairness.

He highlighted the use of technology in exam malpractice and called for stricter enforcement and penalties to deter such actions, advocating for improved technological infrastructure in the education sector.
