JAMB Panel Exposes Massive Exam Fraud: Fingerprint Blending and AI Cheating

A JAMB panel uncovered 4,251 cases of fingerprint blending and 190 instances of AI cheating during the 2025 UTME, exposing widespread malpractice in Nigeria's admission process. The Special Committee on Examination Infractions revealed various forms of misconduct, including impersonation and forged credentials.

The panel, led by JAMB Registrar Professor Oloyede and Committee Chairman Jake Epelle, emphasized the need to address the organized malpractice that undermines the meritocracy in Nigeria's education system. The report highlighted the involvement of parents, tutorial centers, schools, and CBT operators in facilitating exam fraud, calling for stronger legal measures to combat such infractions.
