VP Shettima Commissions Ires Road Flyover in Ondo

On [date not specified], Nigeria's Vice President, Kashim Shettima, officially commissioned the Ires Road Flyover project at the junction of the Akur-Owo highway in Ondo State. Shettima described the flyover as a strategic infrastructure project designed to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance economic activities along the corridor.

During the commissioning ceremony, he commended the Ondo State government's intervention in infrastructure development, emphasizing its critical role in regional growth. The project, which is the first flyover in Akur, was initiated during the tenure of former Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and was completed under the current administration led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Additionally, Aiyedatiwa noted that the flyover represents a significant step toward improving traffic flow, road safety, and economic productivity in the state capital. The flyover project was also acknowledged by Afenifere leader Reuben Fasoranti, who celebrated his 100th birthday on the same day.
