ODI Commends Aiyedatiwa for New Flyover Approval

The ODI socio-cultural group, led by Mr. Muyiwa Jeged, commended Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa for the approval of a new 2.38-kilometer flyover bridge in Akure, Ondo State.

This project, spanning from Adegbola Junction to the St. Matthias NNPC Fill Station area in Alagbaka, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in the state capital, particularly along the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) corridor.

The group emphasized that the flyover would significantly improve transportation and ease traffic flow, addressing a critical bottleneck identified in traffic studies. However, they also urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to find alternative solutions for market traders at Erekesan Market, whose livelihoods may be affected by the construction.

The group praised the governor's initiative as a noble effort that would transform the state capital and enhance development for its residents.
