Nigeria-Vietnam Chamber to Enhance Youth Entrepreneurship

The Nigeria-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NVCCI), under the oversight of President Oy Akinsemoyin, convened a business meeting in Lagos on March 27, 2023. The meeting resulted in a communiqué outlining plans to enhance youth entrepreneurship by incorporating youth-driven startups into the business ecosystem.

The NVCCI aims to collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies and private sector players, to create innovative initiatives that will contribute to the development of a sustainable ecosystem for youth. Key plans include participation in the Vietnam International Logistics Exhibition scheduled for July 30 to August 1, 2026, and a strategic partnership with Vietnamese counterparts, including Vinexad, to facilitate trade and logistics.

The first phase of a visit to Hanoi will involve discussions on bilateral public sector opportunities, culminating in a Nigeria-Vietnam business investment forum. The NVCCI is committed to developing a roadmap for youth involvement and will implement a strategy for regular virtual meetings to monitor progress.
