NILDC Endorses Salihu Bakari Girei for Adamawa Governorship

The Nigerian Indigenous Language Development Council (NILDC) has officially endorsed Salihu Bakari Girei for the Adamawa State governorship election in 2027. During a press conference in Yola, the council highlighted Girei's impressive track record in enhancing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

Girei, a renowned public servant and community leader, has established 51 model primary schools, introduced free school uniforms for girls, and built 4,000 classrooms for primary and junior secondary schools. Elder Joshua Napa, the NILDC chairman, described Girei as a credible replacement for the outgoing governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, expressing hope for a competitive and integrative approach under Girei's leadership.

Girei's extensive experience includes roles such as chairman of the Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and director of research and development at TETFund in Abuja. Born in Girei Local Government Area, he is expected to significantly impact the state's political landscape with his educational background and administrative experience.
