Adamu Stays Committed to Nasarawa Governorship Bid

Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the former Inspector General of Police, has declared his intention to continue his bid for the Nasarawa State governorship in 2027, despite the endorsement of Senator Ahmadu Aliyu Wadada by Governor Abdullahi Sule. Adamu dismissed rumors suggesting he might leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming his commitment to the party.

He stated that while endorsements are significant, they do not prevent others from contesting, emphasizing that the future of Nasarawa should be determined by the people. Adamu expressed confidence in his campaign, stating he is fully prepared to contest until the end and believes he will emerge victorious with God's grace.

He also mentioned that he would inform his supporters about the unity within the party as the primaries approach. Governor Sule's endorsement of Wadada was defended by his media aide, who stated that the governor has done nothing wrong in his decision.
