NIMC Reports 127 Million NIN Registrations in Nigeria, Encourages Digital Platform Adoption

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) disclosed that Nigeria has reached 127 million National Identification Number (NIN) registrations as of December 2025. Dr.

Kayode Adegok, the NIMC spokesperson, confirmed the latest enrollment figures, with Lagos having the highest number of registrations at 13.1 million. The data shows a balanced enrollment across the country, with top states including Kano, Kaduna, and Ogun.

Nigerians are urged to register for the digital platform for various advantages. NIMC also emphasized the importance of updating personal details through its official portal to prevent fraud.
