NiMet and NCAT Sign Partnership for Aviation Training

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), led by Director General Prof. Charles Anosike, has partnered with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), represented by Rector Dr.

Danjuma Ismaila, to enhance quality service delivery in the aviation meteorology sector. This partnership was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at NiMet's headquarters in Abuja.

The agreement emphasizes a shared commitment to strengthen collaboration in professional training and capacity development. The institutions will work together to provide training, advisory support, and specialized aviation programs, including both long and short-term courses for NiMet personnel.

The partnership will also include staff exchange programs and joint training initiatives at NiMet's training school in Oshodi, Lagos, adhering to ICAO-compliant aviation training frameworks. Key areas of focus will include aviation operations management, safety management systems, crisis management, aviation security, air navigation systems, and airport operations.

Prof. Anosike reaffirmed NiMet's commitment to continuous human capital development, highlighting the importance of sustained investment in technical training.
