NiMet Forecasts Thunderstorms and Rain Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather outlook predicting thunderstorms and rain across the nation from Thursday to Saturday. The forecast indicates moderate dust haze in parts of Borno, Yobe, Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Jigawa, Kebbi, and Sokoto states in the northern region.

Isolated thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rain are expected later in the day in Taraba, southern Bauchi, southern Kaduna, Adamawa, and Gombe states in the north-central region. Additionally, there is a chance of morning thunderstorms in parts of Niger, Kwara, and Kogi states, with isolated thunderstorms and light rain anticipated in Nasarawa, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, the Federal Capital Territory, and Benue state.

The southern region, including Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Rivers states, is also expected to experience cloudy atmospheres with intervals of sunshine and chances of morning thunderstorms and moderate rain later in the day.
