Prof. Segun Aina Appointed New JAMB Registrar

President Bola Tinubu appointed Prof. Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), with his tenure set to expire on July 31, 2026.

The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the president. Prof.

Aina is a renowned academic in computer engineering, having graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and gained further qualifications, including a PhD in digital signal processing from Loughborough University in the UK. He has extensive experience in examination systems, having worked with various major examination bodies, including the National Examination Council (NECO) and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

With 15 years of postgraduate experience, Aina is recognized as one of Nigeria's youngest professors in computer engineering and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
