Nigerian Institute of Sport Admits 232 New Students

The Nigerian Institute of Sport has officially admitted 232 students into various departments following a suspension of the admission process for a year. Comrade Philip Shaibu, the current Deputy Governor of Edo State, announced this development, highlighting the institute's commitment to reorganizing its admission process.

This initiative is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's broader plan to reposition the Nigerian Institute of Sport as a leading global sports institution. Shaibu noted that the current students have undergone a reorganization of their curriculum, which is integral to the institute's transformation.

He also advised the new intake to adhere to the law and maintain discipline, as these qualities are essential for producing competent coaches and administrators in the sports sector. The admission process is seen as a renewal of hope for the institute's future and its role in Nigerian sports.
