PTI Matriculates 2,101 Students, Warns Against Vices

On the previous day, the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Delta State, matriculated 2,101 students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The ceremony was officiated by the Principal and Chief Executive of the institute, Dr.

Samuel Onojie, who performed the matriculation oath. Dr.

Onojie cautioned the new students against engaging in social vices, warning that the institute maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards examination misconduct and other issues such as sexual assault, cultism, drug abuse, theft, and bullying. He emphasized the importance of academic excellence and urged students to take advantage of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELF) to alleviate financial pressures.

Dr. Onojie also congratulated parents and guardians for their roles in supporting students and reminded them of the dynamic nature of the oil and gas industry, which requires innovation and adaptability from graduates.
