NIS Ensures Uninterrupted Passport Services Amid Changes

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed that passport services will remain available across Nigeria despite the centralization of passport printing operations at its Central Personalisation Centre located at the Service Headquarters in Abuja. The NIS clarified that this operational shift will not impact the processing and issuance of passports at any passport office or designated Nigerian embassies and consulates.

The service emphasized that only the printing stage of passport production has been centralized, allowing applicants to continue accessing services at their preferred locations. The NIS stated that all passport offices will continue to operate normally, and adequate arrangements have been made to ensure that printed passports are dispatched to various collection points within a two-week timeframe.

The centralization is part of the NIS's efforts to enhance coordination, efficiency, and service delivery within the passport production system.
