NIS Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment on Social Media

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) issued a warning on Tuesday regarding false recruitment claims circulating on social media. The agency clarified that it does not conduct recruitment through unofficial channels or third-party services and that no fees are required at any stage of the legitimate recruitment process.

The NIS urged the public to ignore these fraudulent claims and to rely on verified communication channels. This warning was deemed necessary due to the circulation of misleading information on social media platforms, including impersonation of the agency, which has garnered 46,000 followers.

The NIS emphasized the importance of vigilance among Nigerians to verify information before acting on it, thereby protecting themselves from potential fraud.
